Our Full Itinerary
Day 1
6pm - Arrive in Maui (OGG)
TIP: Arriving before dark was well worth the view of both Maui and Big Island!
TIP: Sit on the left side of the plane. Coming in, the view of the Big Island was to the left.
7pm - Quick stop at Kanaha Beach Park
TIP: Given is was our first time to Hawaii, we wanted to see something before it got dark. This beach was only 5 minutes from the airport.
8pm - Stop at Costco/Walmart to pick up Groceries
TIP: Costco is about 5 mins from the airport, Walmart is 10 mins. Prices tend to be higher in the resort towns.
9pm - Drive to Kanapali (45 mins)
10pm - Arrive at our Condo.
TIP: If it's a clear day, go outside. The starts are absolutely stunning!!
Day 2
5am - Wake up before sunrise to a spectacular view of the ocean and two mountains.
TIP: If you are from the US or Canada, keep your alarm clock set to your home town timezone! Easy to do given the time difference and that will give you more daylight to work with. The added bonus is you will adjust back to your normal timezone more easily.

Day 7
Waimea Canyon State Park
TIP: Recommended easy/moderate hikes: between mile marker 8 and 9; xxx; Napali Coast

Helicopter Ride
TIP: Do not miss is! They say Kauai is the best place in the world to take a Helicopter ride. They were right!! Watch sample videos on YouTube to get an idea. Will cost between $180-$250pp for about an hour ride.

TIP: Surfer watching!
TIP: If you want to hit the Dole Plantation, its's on the way. Start early!
Polynesian Cultural Center
TIP: It opens at noon and is closed on Sundays. Get there at noon to take full advantage of the day.
TIP: At 2:30pm, there is a water parade that happens. Don't miss it.
International Market Place (Wikiki)
TIP: Amazing live music events. Even had a Hawaiian history show!

TIP: Even after checkout, most hotels will give you access to showers. If you have a late flight, enjoy the beach as long as you want. And then shower before boarding the plane!
