Booking a Car Rental in Hawaii

TIP: For some rental companies, your spouse is added as a free supplemental driver. This can be a savings of $5-$10/day. We rented with Avis were both allowed to drive at no extra cost.

TIP: Get a credit card WITH Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and/or Loss Damage Waiver Coverage (LDW) included. This could save you extra costs rental car companies charge for these insurances. Check with your credit card company to see what is covered and what not.

TIP: Get the Car Rental coupon book, if available!! When we were there, Avis had a coupon book that had numerous coupons. And these are not your run of the mill coupons. They gave us a number of perks for FREE! The best was a coupon for a free adult entry to the Polynesian Center in Oaho - a $40 value! All we needed to show was our rental key.

    On the Craigslist page, navigate to your location's web page, then click Cars and Trucks by Owner. In the search settings, set the range from $0 - (Your Max Limit). I like to add about 20% to my max limit to allow for cars that can be negotiated within the budget. Michael Wilson

    It can be, considering that Lyft OnDemandly is in direct competition with Uber, and both platforms offer ride codes for discounts. New customers can enter a Lyft coupon code when signing up, enabling eligibility for up to $50 in free ride credits (use code RYDER). New customers for Uber can also earn an incentive by using Uber coupon RIDESHARE.
